In two 2011 grant cycles, the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham awarded $1,911,500 in grants to organizations working on Results our community wants. Together with nonprofit organizations serving metro Birmingham, we are investing through our Community Funds in strategies we believe will truly drive positive change.
Cycle 2 grants, awarded December 15, totaled $937,500 in grants to 24 nonprofit organizations working on two Results:
- Communities are sustainable, livable and vibrant and
- Individuals and families are economically secure.
Cycle 1 grants, awarded in May 2011, totaled $974,000 in grants toward two other aspects of our Results Framework:
“Our nonprofit partners continue to provide strong proposals in line with our chosen strategies to achieve these Results,” said James McCrary, Vice President Grants and Evaluation. “Cycle 1 for 2012 is already under way and we look forward to the proposals that will be submitted for consideration.”
