Thanks to the Remy Fund for Pets and Animal Services, set up by donor Ken Jackson to honor his beloved pet Remy, nonprofit organizations have another opportunity to gain important support for their work to drive positive change in greater Birmingham. If your organization works with traditional companion animals such as dogs, cats and horses, a grant may be possible to support:
- Rescue/shelter programs
- Spay/neuter programs
- Animal-assisted therapy programs
- Education and advocacy programs
- Service dog programs
If your organization serves the counties of Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Blount or Walker and is a nonprofit designated as a 501c3, review the current application guidelines: Remy Fund Guidelines 2013.
Starting April 1 through April 30, 2013, you can submit your application through an on-line process by following this link: https://www.grantinterface.com/cfgb/Common/LogOn.aspx
Grant decisions will be announced later this summer. If your nonprofit organization has questions about the application process, contact Kim Rogers.
