So many generous people are helping the Community Foundation reach out to survivors of tornadoes that destroyed lives and properties across our state on April 27, 2011. According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, the tornadoes caused more than 200 deaths and more than 1,000 injuries, along with damage to thousands of homes and businesses in Alabama.
If you were in one of the 43 counties affected, you can help right now by agreeing to respond to a telephone survey. ADPH believes the findings of this survey will help us all prepare more effectively to protect ourselves when we see a tornado or hear a warning.
To participate in the ADPH survey and help our state protect and save lives in future tornadoes, please fill out this form on line or call toll free 1-855-228-3777.
