The Women’s Breast Health Fund (WBHF), a field of interest fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, was established by a group of donors who believed that quality breast cancer survivorship is a right for all women who have faced the disease as well as their loved ones.
On the evening of September 28, the WBHF hosted an event to launch a new website; wbhflegacy.org that presents the story of the Women’s Breast Health Fund and provides resources and inspiration for breast cancer survivors and their loved ones.
“The Fund has been in existence since 2009, yet very few people in the Birmingham area are aware of the impact that this generous gift has had not only in the Greater Birmingham area but also the nation,” said Madeline Harris, Director, Women’s Breast Health Fund. “This website not only celebrates these achievements but will inspire others who have a dream and would like to make a difference”.
The website also includes a “Wall of Warriors” a place where visitors to the site can pay tribute to the Women Warriors in their life. Visit the website at wbhflegacy.org and leave your tribute.
