Ginger Jefferson

Director of Marketing and Communications

Ginger Jefferson is the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham and is responsible for strategic marketing initiatives, public relations, advertising, social media and branding for the organization. Ginger has more than thirty years’ experience in marketing, corporate communications and advertising.

She began her career as the program director for a local independent television station. From there she moved into the world of advertising as account manager for Parisian with the Steiner/Bressler Agency working in broadcast and print production. Ginger was the first director of marketing and communication for Bradley Arant law firm and later began her own consulting firm which provided marketing and public relations services for physicians, attorneys and accountants. She has experience in publishing as the director of marketing and associate editor for PMT Publishing, the publishers of Business Alabama, Birmingham Home and Garden, Mobile Bay Monthly, Technology Alabama as well as other custom magazines. Most recently she was the marketing director covering the Alabama region for Saks Fifth Avenue.

She is well versed in all aspects of public relations, business development and advertising including creative, strategies, media and research. She has won numerous advertising and communications awards including several local Addys, regional Addys and the prestigious Retail Advertising Council award for the best retail television commercials in the United States.
