The tornadoes of January 23, 2012, provided a horrible reminder of what individuals, families and communities in 43 Alabama counties suffered last April. As people take stock of losses from the recent storms, we continue to reach out to serve those whose homes are still in ruins, neighborhoods destroyed and support systems straining to meet continued needs.
You can help to support unmet needs at any time through to the Alabama Tornado Recovery Fund, a part of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. And on Feb. 2, 2012, Alabama Gives Day provides a great opportunity to make a gift and encourage everyone you know to join you.
The amount doesn’t matter as much as the fact that you are giving, along with so many others, to show your support for people and places that still have a long way to go in recovering from storms that devastated 43 counties across our state.
