Mental health professionals make clear that what affects your mind also affects your general health. And that makes us proud to provide support for a new on-line resource for mental health services in Alabama.
A Community Fund grant of $10,000 in 2011 to the Crisis Center of Birmingham helped to make possible the development of the Mental Health Resource Directory for Alabama, created in partnership with the Mental Health Goal Group of the Health Action Partnership. This online directory is the first of its kind for the state and provides information about a variety of mental health professionals and agencies.
Mental health resources and mental health treatment options focus primarily on central Alabama, but organizers plan to add additional resources to cover all of Alabama, as well as national resources. The site also offers a way for providers to submit their information.
