Red Mountain Park promises great beauty, amazing trails and views and a special new place for our community to gather in the great outdoors. And then there’s the economic impact, a projected $22.4 million a year once the park is completed.
At a recent meeting, officials released figures projecting a one-time economic impact of more than $175 million during construction, increases of 3 to 5 percent in property values around the park after completion and hundreds of jobs directly or indirectly supporting development in and around the park.
That sounds like a great way to improve our economic as well as physical health. Find out more about our Results Framework and how we are focusing on green space.
