In May of 2012, the Women’s Breast Health Fund of the Community Foundation awarded its first grants — a total of $550,000 to support innovative programs by Baptist Health Foundation, the Center for Palliative and Supportive Care at UAB and the UAB School of Nursing. Now, with these programs getting underway, it’s time to seek new partners and even more great ideas to make life better for women who are facing breast cancer and for their loved ones.
Madeline Harris, who was named Director of the Women’s Breast Health Fund in October, is looking forward to seeing the proposals described in Letters of Intent (deadline January 17, 2013) that will start the selection process again.
