As we monitor the local impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are working with community members, government and business partners to determine how we can best prepare and support our region.
You can partner with us in two ways:
Support the Emergency Response Fund. Opened in response to the 1998 tornadoes, this fund has provided long-term resources for disasters impacting the region over the last 20 years. The Emergency Response Fund will provide resources to our region targeted to the communities that will be disproportionally impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. The fund will support a variety of nonprofit organizations throughout our five county region.
Support the Birmingham Strong Fund. In partnership with the City of Birmingham we have opened the Birmingham Strong Fund. This emergency loan fund is for small businesses in the city of Birmingham to help stabilize employment, stimulate economic vitality and offset losses related to the coronavirus. You can read more about the Birmingham Strong Fund here.
