The Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarships to help individuals, families, and businesses create a brighter future by encouraging education.
The Campbell/Bouchelle Scholarship
The application cycle for the Maria Campbell/Bouchelle Scholarship for Children of Episcopal Clergy is now open through Feb. 15, 2026.
The Maria Campbell/Bouchelle Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham provides scholarships for children of clergy of the Episcopal Church of the United States of America who are canonically resident in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. Undergraduate and graduate scholarships are awarded annually, with preference given to applicants attending the University of the South.

Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham Scholarship
Applications for the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham Scholarship will be accepted through March 13, 2026. The top scholar is awarded a $40,000 scholarship; the second scholar is awarded $32,000; and the third scholar is awarded $20,000.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must:
• be a high school student in the Birmingham City public school system
• graduate in the Spring of 2026
• maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA throughout high school
