The Birmingham Change Fund is a giving circle comprised of African-American professionals in the greater Birmingham Community that collectively harness their time, talent, and treasure with the goal of making Birmingham a premier city.
Instruments of Hope Unity Fund
Building unity is the central goal of the Instruments of Hope Unity Fund, a field of Interest fund of the Community Foundation. The fund seeks to develop a sustainable and permanent model for fostering civil discourse and action toward addressing the most complex challenges facing the Greater Birmingham area.
LGBTQ Fund
The mission of this Fund is to cultivate one community that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning individuals and families with the belief that all people should be treated with equal respect and dignity in a welcoming and affirming community.
Remy Fund
The Remy Fund, created by Ken Jackson, is a Field of Interest Fund that supports nonprofit organizations that work with traditional companion animals such as dogs, cats and horses.
Women’s Breast Health Fund
The Women’s Breast Health Fund is a Field of Interest Fund at the Community Foundation that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for women and their families who are breast cancer survivors.
Summer Adventures in Learning (SAIL)
Summer Adventures in Learning is a partnership of funders that was developed as part of an action plan to respond to a survey of 37 Birmingham area summer programs, conducted by the National Summer Learning Association in 2011. Through this partnership, funders committed to use a joint application process for nonprofit organizations wishing to receive grant support to enhance or add consistent academic components to summer youth programs.
Philip A. Morris Fund for the Design Arts
The purpose of the Philip A. Morris Fund for Design Arts is to support the role of design arts in building and enhancing communities, as well as to create awareness of design arts in a community context. Broadly stated, “design arts” include but are not limited to urban planning, design and the built environment; architecture; graphic arts and graphic design; and landscape planning and design.
